A week into the school year, nine Rock Hill, S.C., schools have confirmed cases of swine flu.

The Board took action on the following items:

Voted 7-0 to approve a contract to upgrade HVAC controls at Saluda Trail Middle School in the amount of $18,610.

Voted 7-0 to replace and upgrade the boiler at Rock Hill High School in the amount of $258,350.

Pastor Murdock of Christ Deliverance Church tells us of a scholarship benefit concert being held Saturday in memory of Naval service member Q.L. Hemphill.  Three $500 scholarships will be awarded to each Rock Hill High School.
 

The Rock Hill City Council gave final approval this week to a development and financial agreement between the city and the Greens of Rock Hill who are creating the Riverwalk Development.
