The Winthrop baseball team lost two of three at Radford over the weekend, dropping the Eagles out of first place in the Big South. At 15-10 overall and 6-3 in the conference they trail Liberty and Charleston Southern.

Collegiate spring soccer gives athletes a unique opportunity to hone their skills, and allows coaches ample time for evaluation without the rigors of the regular season. Sunday afternoon at Manchester Meadows, Furman and Winthrop battled to a 2-2 deadlock, but the outcome paled in comparison to the competition and experience gained by each team.
