Information sought in martial arts center arson

Investigators say the fire that destroyed Pak’s Martial Arts Fitness Center off Cherry Road last Wednesday is arson, and they believe the same suspects also were involved in racial graffiti that wraps around the building in black spray paint, officials said today.

They’ve asked all businesses on Cherry Road to submit video surveillance footage from the time of the incident, around 2:20 a.m., to help with the investigation. The fire remains under investigation by the York County Sheriff’s Office and the State Law Enforcement Division.

Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Chester, York counties

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Chester County and southern York County until 5:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Just after 4:30 p.m., the National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing penny size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph near Union.
